A LITTLE PART OF PARIS COMES TO DOWNTOWN By CYNTHIA KILIAN October 25, 2006 Downtown's latest boite opened Monday with Lynn Wagenknecht - who created the Odeon with the McNally brothers 26 years back - at the helm. For the West Village newbie, she's partnered with Judi Wong and Steven Abramowitz, and decked the place out in light hues of soft beige, cream and wood. The brief French-American menu from executive chef Vincent Nargi offers a classic frisee salad au lardons with croutons and poached egg, duck confit with baby brussels sprouts, hanger steak frites, swordfish "au poivre," and a few other choices. Brunch, lunch and breakfast coming next month. The name? Cluny is the Paris Metro stop after Odeon. |
