Cafe Cluny in the Press | West Village, NYC

The moment I stepped into Cafe Cluny, I was immediately transported back to Paris. I'm not sure if it was the soft lighting, amazing food or divine cocktails, but this gem in West Village is the closest I've come to feeling like I'm back in Europe.
My book club decided to meet here as part of our Goldfinch-themed discussion and I think I ended up remember the restaurant much more than our conversation. My lobster bisque was perfection, the bread was manifique. Salads were delicious and steak frites were my friend's favorite meal in recent memory.
You can actually have a conversation here (key for a first date!). Plus the romantic candles can't hurt.
The service here is also wonderful. Our waiter was a total gentleman, called us "miss" and pulled out our chairs when needed.
Can't wait to make the trek for brunch, I hear it's lovely.
